Like most Catholic families, we distribute part of Our Palm Sunday palms around the house, tucking them behind each of our crucifixes, but we always have some left over, since every person in the house brings at least one home.Instead of bunching them up, this year we want to try something a little more special. We've seen some examples of the wonderful weaving projects that can be done to make unique palm "offerings" to place in front of our larger statues. There are many tutorials out there, but we liked this one from an Italian culture website, and here is another one that has a lot of patterns, but we couldn't get the pictures. Maybe you can.
Here's one of the palm creations shown on the Italian site. Isn't it awesome? We want to try this one. I'll let you know how that comes out.

Oh my word -- I've never seen a palm weaving like that. I'm going to check out some of the sites. It's just beautiful. Can't wait to see how yours turns out and I can't believe Palm Sunday is already here!

I'm gonna spend some time on that crocheted rosary tutorial....probably won't start it till after Easter as this week is a BIT busy... doncha know.
but watch out for it...I promise it's coming and is sooo easy.
