Doesn't it scare you...

... when your husband throws your toddlers way up high in the air and catches them? Funny, almost all toddlers just love it. It doesn't scare them a bit. Their Daddy would never not catch them!

We had a wonderful priest who preached a sermon a few years ago about surrender to the Will of God. Father explained that true trust in God means having the same expectation of safety that a toddler has when he's thrown up in the air by his Daddy. He knows he'll be caught, so he's free to enjoy the wind in his hair and the giggly feeling he gets in his stomach from the skyward flight and the downward swoop.

Wouldn't it be good to feel this way as an adult, in the broader picture of our life's journeys ~ so sure of our Father's love and protection that we can just let go and enjoy the ride?

It's something to pray toward.

I like it! If only we could be like those 'little ones'. I have to keep working on it

I agree with SQUELLY!
Faith is so pure and childlike.
It is that limbo part where it feels like we are not holding on to anything that is so hard for us adults to get over yet that is the part which seems so delightful for children.
Children really can teach us so much can't they :0)
