I have always liked Brit Hume, in no small part because, in both looks and temperament, he reminds me of my husband. But, after getting a look at this television interview today, I don't just like Mr. Hume, I love him! I'd like to give him a medal, elect him to office, or, at the very least get a hold of his hand, pump it vigorously and gush embarassingly all over him. God bless him.
How sad that we've reached a point in our country that a prominent man's declaration of Faith and charity toward another over the airwaves is so unusual that it stands out like a flashing beacon. The enemies of Christianity are having a fit over this televised segment, which only proves to me what a truly wonderful thing it was for this man of integrity and faith to so boldly speak the truth. It's awfully nice to have the dark atmsophere of our public arena lit up for a minute. Thanks, Mr. Hume.

Thank the Good Lord for people who bring rays of sunshine and hope into our lives!
blessings and hugs,

too bad we don't have MORE people in HIGH POLITICAL office with the same devotion of Christianity. I think our country would be so much stronger....(sigh) great post!
I couldn't believe my ears, that's wonderful!
We don't have cable news channels at home, so I'm out of the loop. We were travelling over Thanksgiving break, so we saw the whole Tiger frenzy though. A perfect example of WHY we don't participate in the media in that way anymore.
You're right about Brit Hume! I liked him, calm, authoritative, and somehow familiar like a grandfather or something. Thanks for the post!
well, he's cute, but my vote is still going to Sarah Palin!
:-)
Dang it!!! My darn speakers...or lack of them.....
My husband and I both waited on Mr. Hume when we were waiters in the 80's. He was quiet and polite.
Nice man.
On Sunday, the priest spoke a bit about the pickle Britt found himself in when he spoke the truth about our faith.
If he has said anything else, like "He should be a democrat" or "He should read Dianetics," no one would pitch a fuss.
But Christianity?
No one really once us to talk about it.
