1. Looking due north: the cornfields near our home with a procession of little clouds skipping over them (The top of the Grand Mesa just shows over the corn)

Heading out on yet another road trip this afternoon for the much-anticipated wedding of a dear old family friend (a young old friend, mind you -- a beautiful young woman who grew up with our sons!) -- but we'll be back Monday evening. Praying to St. Christopher for a good journey again!  (Do you suppose good St. Chris does frequent traveler miles?)   Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful, safe, and blessed weekend!

We've been having the extra fun addition of a daily rainbow with our sunsets.  Sometimes they're accompanied by lightning shows, too. One doesn't know which direction to look.  God puts on the best shows and we all get front row seats.

Looking at the sky...

Here's what the day looked like as it began on Monday: bright and sunny, with a flock of fluffy cumulo nimbus gathering overhead.

Then, as the afternoon passed, the sky changed and a storm south of us sent us a flag of a rainbow to warn us...

That it was coming our way...

But, no worries. It passed overhead...

Flipped its tail feathers at us and was gone with the setting sun.
