Quick Tips For Cheap &/Or "Green" Moms

  • White board cleaner=Windex
  • Vinegar & Water = Windex, but not White board cleaner
  • Vinegar & Water = tile floor cleaner
  • 1 tsp bleach to 1/2 gallon water = kitchen sanitizer
  • 1/4 c vinegar + 2 c water, zapped 2 min, sit 2 min = microwave cleaner.
  • 1 roll (each sheet cut in half) paper towels + 2c water + 2 Tbs bby shampoo + 1Tbs bby oil in a ziploc = baby wipes
  • yogurt in 32 oz cartons = way cheaper than itty-bitties
  • tomato juice heated = tomato soup
  • Gladware stackable disposable containers = cheap, multipurpose-able toys for toddlers

* Stay tuned; I'm sure I'll think of more...

Ketchup (or catsup depending on your place of birth) will clean brass. Much better for humans and the environment than that toxic "Brasso" or like cleaner. BUT you have to leave the ketchup on awhile.
I LOVE discussing greener alternatives. Cool post!

What about soda water for stains on clothes and carpets? If used immediately?

Very practical advice thanks:).

I have also tagged you IF you have the time:)

Peace & love to you:)

Great tips, Peggy and Marie! I had heard of soda water, but have never had any on hand when needed! Catsup (ketchup?) I've never heard of for cleaning brass, though. THAT I always have on hand; I would try that one, except I don't think I own a thing made out of brass!

Laura ~ LOVED the poem! You are so good!
