  1. Many years ago when I worked for a law firm, I never called in sick, I mean NEVER. One day I decided I just didn't want to go to work...I wanted to call in sick and just play....so I called my boss and mustard up the courage to tell "the lie" that I was sick and all, and just couldn't do it..so I told her, I was sick and tired of getting up and coming to work, and I wouldn't be in.....well, everyone was so concerned after my playful day off that I got so much attention and they were all sooo extra nice to me...like I was having a break down or something...I wasn't...I just didn't want to go to work. LOL it was great ...and I didn't even have to tell a little white lie!

  2. but I always wondered....who do I call when I want to call in?

Do I tell hubby I'm calling in sick?? Do I tell the kids?? Will there be a written warning placed in my file for calling in without enough notice to get a replacement? Where's my file kept??

Who, exactly, is my HR rep???? (the cat, maybe?)
