Tagged!

for the 6 Quirks Meme, by Laura at Catholic Teacher Musings.

Here they, are, unspectacular, but peculiarly my own:

1 ~ I can exactly match a color from memory.

2 ~ I was born in Spain, but haven't stepped a foot off the mainland US since we returned from my Dad's Navy duty station when I was a toddler.

3 ~ I have to hold my husband's left hand when we walk together, or the feng shui is just all wrong.

4 ~ I can't stand milk on cereal, but will eat it dry (especially frosted mini wheats).

5 ~ I can make soup, any time, anywhere, out of anything ~ and have never made the same soup twice.

6 ~ I am totally sick of my hair, and can't afford a salon at the moment, so I'm taking the scissors to it myself today. Of course, I always have to explain the wacky cuts to beauticians later on when I do this, and they look at me like I'm just nuts... Alas.... Vanity, vanity, all is vanity... (Or is it, if I'm willing to butcher my hair by cutting it myself??)

* Correction: I said above that I have to hold my husband's left hand because I hang around pre-schoolers too much and apparently don't know right from left. Let me amend ~ I have to hold HIS right hand in MY left hand. (This stuff's important, you know! I had to catch that before he did!) Now, back to our previously scheduled meme...

  1. I don't drink milk, but dry cereal is one of my favorite snacks. Especially Cap'n Crunch!

  2. I know you and I have the frizzies problem...but you know, I've discovered that a hair iron does wonders!

I couldn't match a color from memory to save my life...but that's why you're the artistic one.

Blessings, and have a wonderful weekend.

  3. I have to hold my husband's right hand when we walk. If I hold his left hand, I can't get my stride right until I switch!

  4. My goodness, we are so alike! I don't like milk and cereal too much either. And, the hair thing, I can really relate to that. Explaining to the haircutter that I did it myself is always hard for me :-)

  5. One crazy thing I do is I often wake up singing and when asleep I know ALL the lyrics but when awake, I forget them;). As for my voice it's kinda like a screaming banshee on helium LOL!

    Love & laughs

  6. I admit it. I cut my own hair too!!!
I'm lucky because my hair is really curly so I can get away with it pretty well. :0)

  8. Marie ~ I like Honeycombs dry, too (ya know, the knock-off version...) &:o)

Bia ~ I've often thought of just straightening it. I've had several hairdressers suggest it, too. But, I just have this notion that my Mom will appear out of nowhere and say "Don't you dare! Those curls are a gift! Do you know how much time and money I've spent on perms my whole life?" Etc... &;o)_Hope your weekend was wonderful!

Aimee ~ I corrected my error when I read your comment. What a goose I am! It's actually my hubby's right hand that I hold in my left hand. Like you! Just habit, you suppose?

Esther ~ I know! IT's embarassing. Before we moved, I had the great blessing to have a beautician that I always used who was also a curly-head and understood about the self-snipping solution to wild hair, bless her! I miss her!

Marie ~ You are so funny! I always smile when I just see your name, becuase I know something good is coming! I laughed out loud at that description of you singing in your sleep! I bet you don't sing like that at all, though! ((Hugs)) to you; I miss you over at VFTP!

Suzy ~ &:o) That's me, too! The only reason I get away with it is because the curli-kewness of my hair hides any crooked cuts I might make in it. It's a blessing, really! (My mom keeps reminding me of that!)
